|Conditions and Terms for Renting a Unit|
Ekahi Village is one of the most popular resorts in Maui. Our clients tend to book their holidays months - even up to a year - in advance, particularly for holidays, Winter high season, and school breaks. In order to insure that you can get your first choice dates and units, we recommend that you book your unit as far in advance as possible.
For Rental Purposes, the year breaks down into three seasons:
HIGH SEASON runs
from January 2, through the Sunday following Easter Sunday or April
15, whichever is later.
Please note that some owners set rental seasons that differ from the seasons described above.
Upon verbal or written request for a reservation from you, we will place a five business-day "courtesy hold" on the unit. In order to confirm the booking, a deposit equal to two nights' rental is required. The balance, plus a refundable security deposit equal to one night's rental, is due sixty days prior to your visit. Upon receipt of balance of payment we will forward an information packet including directions to the resort complex, key retrieval, as well as additional information about Wailea/Makena area.
Cancellations more than sixty days prior to the first date of rental incur an administration fee equal to two nights' rental. Cancellations within sixty days of the first date forfeit the entire rental amount of the booking, less a pro rata refund (minus the two day administration fee) IF we are able to re-rent the unit for the dates cancelled.
We HIGHLY recommend that you take out Trip Cancellation Insurance if you believe that there is any possibility that you may not be able to take your trip. This insurance is available through Maui Ultimate Condos' preferred insurance provider, or a number of other agencies such as your local automobile club.
All rentals are subject to a security deposit equal to one night's rental (note that required deposit amount sometimes varies due to individual owner requirements). This deposit is collected at the time of the final balance payment, usually in the form of a separate check. The security deposit check is NOT cashed, except in the event that damage is caused to the unit by guests during their stay, or in the event of loss of keys, lockouts, or excess cleaning charges.
